Florida’s Great Northwest’s Shane Chadwick Named Honorary Commander for 505th Command & Control Wing

Pensacola, FL – Florida’s Great Northwest is proud to announce that Shane Chadwick, Director of Business Intelligence, has been officially appointed as an Honorary Commander for the 505th Command & Control Wing (CCW) at Hurlburt Field for the 2025–2026 term.  

Chadwick was recognized during the 2025–2026 Honorary Commander Kick-Off Event, where 11 new community leaders were welcomed into the Honorary Commander (HCC) Program. The event featured formal introductions by Col. Frank Azaravich, Deputy Commander of the 505th CCW, and Chief Master Sgt. David Martie, Command Chief of the 505th CCW.  

The HCC Program aims to strengthen relationships between Hurlburt Field and the surrounding communities by pairing influential civic and business leaders with military units. Throughout the year, honorary commanders will gain a deeper understanding of the U.S. Air Force’s mission and operations through immersive tours, briefings, and engagement activities.  

“It’s an honor to represent Florida’s Great Northwest in this capacity,” said Shane Chadwick. “I look forward to learning more about the incredible men and women at Hurlburt Field and building lasting connections that support both our military and ÒÁÈËÖ±²¥app community.”
